Ann G. Belmonte, 90 of North Providence passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giovannia (Manzo) Cotoia. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony Belmonte, Sr. and the of mother of children Gina and Michael Toppazzini, Joanne and Robert Lang, and Anthony Belmonte, Jr., and his wife Pauline. Beloved grandmother of Jason, Amanda, Melissa, Katelyn, Anthony, and their spouses.   Beloved great grandmother of Isabella, Aria, Zellio, Zachary, Noah, Maddison, Leo, Zayne, Anthony, Morgan, Kaylee, and Michael. She was a devoted sister to Joseph & Georgia Cotoia, Lucy and John Vingi, Paul & Diane Cotoia, Louis & Diana Cotoia, and the late John & Virginia Cotoia, Sara and Joseph Dias, Anthony & Jennie Cotoia, Frank & Betty Cotoia, Donald Cotoia and Nancy Cotoia, several nieces, and nephews.

Ann grew up in “Shoofly” Federal Hill, Providence surrounded by grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. There she met lifelong friends, Marie Falso and Ann Simonelli. She was a professional seamstress and worked at Trina’s and Miss Betty’s of Providence. Later in life she worked at Stop & Shop and conducted telephone surveys. She was a lifelong resident of North Providence. Ann spent most of her time helping others, putting aside everything to be available to anyone who needed her, day, or night. Her specialty was praying her rosary!

She was a loving wife and amazing mom, who loved being in the sun outdoors. She loved to dance and sing. Most recently singing in the Heritage Hills Glee Club, which brought both her and everyone that surrounded her much joy!

We are so thankful to her nurses, cna’s and the staff at Heritage Hills who loved her into eternity. Their love and support were such a blessing to our family.
