Anthony Marchetti II Obituary

50, of Lincoln for the past 20 years passed away peacefully on Sunday at home after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born in Providence, he was the son of Anthony and Barbara (DelFino) Marchetti of Cranston. Anthony was the beloved husband of Michele (Mallozzi) Marchetti for 25 years.

A graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Anthony was a project manager and civil engineer throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island for the past 25 years. Most recently, with the Rhode Island Department of Transportation.

He was a former member of the Kirkbrae Country Club, the Smithfield Sportsmans’ Club, part of the Community Emergency Response Team, and a volunteer of the Northern Rhode Island Urban Search and Rescue.

In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves his beloved children Christina Mia, Anthony Joseph, and Ryan Michael, whom he adored and cherished. He is also survived by his sister Maria Patrizio of Cranston, and many nieces and nephews, and one great nephew whom he adored as well.

The family of Anthony would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the amazing team at the Lifespan Cancer Institute at Miriam Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Hope Health Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 6th, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jude Catholic Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 5th, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston. Burial will be private.
