Carmela 'Connie' (Russo) Rich

93, of Johnston, died peacefully at Elmhurst Extended Care on Monday, September 9, 2019.  She was the beloved wife of the late Roland B. Rich.  She was the daughter of the late Luigi Russo and Maria Grazia Russo, and is survived by her daughter Carol Mendes, and son John Rich and sister Antonetta Vitale.  She has 4 grandchildren, Thomas, Crysta, Anthony Mendes and Xavier Rich.

Connie was a graduate of Cranston High School and URI.  She held many jobs over her lifetime including foundation buyer for Peerless Company, floor associate at Gladings and retired from Cranston Print Works.  She was a member of St. Rocco’s Legion of Mary and the Red Hat Society, as well as Parents without Partners.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 14 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston.  Burial will be private.
