Charles S. Robertson

Charles S. Robertson, 91 of Johnston passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, he was the son of the late Charles S. and Anna (Petroska) Robertson.

Charles served in the Korean Conflict in the Navy on the USS Wright and was honorably discharged in 1952.  He was a machine operator for many years, retiring from the General Electric Base Plant.

He was a member of the Providence Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon and Elder over the years.  He was also a member of the Order of the Free Masons - Harmony Lodge #9, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite 32 Degree, Valley of Providence, and the American Legion.

He was an avid sports fan, made frequent visits to Twin River Casino and was known as the family “historian.”  He had a crystal-clear memory, a dry sense of humor, strong moral compass, and was a proud grandfather and great grandfather.  His passing leaves a permanent hole in our hearts.

Charles was the beloved husband of the late Lydia T. (Mansolillo) Robertson for 57 years.  He was the loving father of Jo-Ann Pagano (Robert) and Jane Piccoli (Michael).  He was the devoted grandfather to Laura Ferrell (Robert), Nicholas Pagano (Jillian), Jessica Piccoli (Michael), and Amanda Dalesio (Christopher).  He was the great grandfather to Nathan and Benjamin Ferrell, and Natalie and Christopher Pagano.  He was the brother of Patricia Williamson of Oregon, Barbara O’Connor of St. Paul Minnesota, and the late Geraldine Pachano of Minnesota.
