Dolores B. (Janigian) Norigian

Dolores B. (Janigian) Norigian, 86, of Smithfield, RI, formerly of Warwick, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 with her loving family by her side.

Dolores was born in Providence, RI to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Asdoorian) Janigian and was sister to Aileen Babigian and the late Mary Shadbegian.

Dolores worked in the Department of Community Health at Brown University and prior at Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company.  Besides her commitment and love of family, she was a devoted member of Sts. Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church, Daughters of Vartan and the Women’s Guild. She was instrumental in beginning a scholarship for college bound seniors by the Daughters of Vartan. She was also a member of the Garden Club in Warwick and loved gardening-taking

great pride in her recent success in growing vegetables. She enjoyed helping the ladies prepare food for the church bazaar and being at church on Mondays with the Seniors to play cards. She was always ready to give a helping hand and was loved dearly by those who knew her.

Dolores was married to the late Arch-Deacon A. Edward Norigian. She is survived by her children, Sharon D’Antuono (Robert) and Tania Alexander (Gary) and her 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Luke, Amara and David. She was also a beloved aunt to all her nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews.

VISITING HOURS are Monday, May 16th from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Church, Providence, with a Funeral Service at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
