Donald Martin Obituary

DONALD R. MARTIN, 95, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Virginia R. (Covill) Martin, and his children, Donna Guido (John), Robert Martin (Lillian), Karol Sharkey (James), and Patricia Norberg (Rick Bouza); loving grandfather of Frank, Beth, James, Stephen, Rebecca, Sarah, Alycia, and Ericka; loving great-grandfather of Layla, Maya, Lucas, Lily and Jaxon. He had ten brothers and sisters, and is survived by Dorothy Saglio and Kenneth Martin.

Donald retired as a systems technician for Northrop Grumman and was a WW-II U.S. Army veteran. He was a true artisan, from building furniture to fine carving of songbirds, to painting. He loved playing cards, golfing, and spending time with his family.

His funeral will be held on Monday, June 5th at 9:30 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston at 10:30. Burial with military honors will be at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS are MONDAY MORNING from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
