of Providence, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Dolores L. (Marfeo) Giovannucci. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Michael and Carmella (Verdelotti) Giovannucci.
Edmund was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and was the owner of the former Annex Auto Body in Johnston. He later graduated from RI College and was an auto body instructor at Tri-County Vocational High School in Franklin, MA before retiring.
Edmund was the devoted father of David E. Giovannucci of Boca Raton, FL; dear brother of Marie A. Dalma of Providence and the late Louise Testa; and loving uncle of several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Monday, September 25th at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are MONDAY MORNING from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
