Edward R. Palombo

81, of Cranston and formerly of North Providence and Boca Raton, FL, peacefully passed away on July 14, 2021 at his home.

He was the devoted husband of the late Margaret “Peggy” (Tortolani) Palombo, to whom he was married for 52 years. Ed was the eldest son of John and Helen “Ella” (Giampietro) Palombo of North Providence.

He worked for The Hartford for over 30 years and retired in 1998 as vice president. Ed had a passion for luxury cars and watches, and enjoyed swimming in the ocean and being on the beach. He loved any and all pastries as well as ice cream, particularly Fudgsicles.

Ed is survived by his beloved daughter Rhonda M. Perrotta and son-in-law Michael of Cranston, cherished grandchildren Rachael and Nicholas Perrotta, and dear brother Dr. Raymond N. Palombo and sister-in-law Sharon of Plano, TX.

His greatest pride was his two grandchildren and nothing gave him more joy than spending time with them, hearing about their day-to-day activities, and meeting their friends. Ed especially loved traveling to Disney with his grandchildren and riding the teacups with them.
