Eleodora C. (DeCubellis) Martino

89, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at The Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Alberto Martino. Born in Marzano-Appio, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Vincenza (Romano) DeCubellis. Eleodora was employed for many years at Monet Jewelers in Providence until her retirement.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved cooking, tending to her garden, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her loving daughter Emilia Giorno and her husband Stephen Gerundio of Warwick. She was the cherished grandmother of Brianna Engley and her husband Zachary, and Christina Giorno. Adored great-grandmother of Jason and Emma Engley. Sister of Aldo DeCubellis of Rome, Italy, the late Caterina Colapietro and Gina DeCubellis.

Special thanks to all the staff at the Hope Alzheimer’s Center, The Lighthouse at Lincoln, The Hope Health Hulitar Center, and to her amazing home aide Elisa Rivera for all the great care they all provided for her. We cannot thank you enough for all that you have done for her over the years.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 6th, at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s church, Johnston. Entombment will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday 5:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Alzheimer’s Center, 25 Brayton Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920 or to the Alzheimer's Association Rhode Island Chapter, 245 Waterman St #306, Providence, RI 02906.
