Elizabeth F. "Grandma Betty" (Neil) Albanese

of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Cherry Hill Manor. She was the beloved wife of the late John Albanese. Born in North Providence, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (O’Donnell) Neil.

Elizabeth served as Past President of the Women’s Youth League of RI and was a member of The Red Hat Society. She was also a parishioner at St. Anthony’s Church for many years.

She is survived by her loving children, Anthony Albanese, Sr. and his wife Mona of Cranston, William Albanese and his wife Catherine of Warwick, and John Albanese of Newport; cherished grandchildren, Anthony Albanese, Jr. and his wife Kimberly and Elizabeth Vincent and her husband Michael; great-grandchildren, Jacob Minnis, Gia Albanese, Rocco Albanese, Emme Albanese and Ellie Vincent. She was predeceased by her dear siblings, Jesse Bamber, Helen Spenard, Robert Neil and William Neil.  She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11:00 am in St. Peter’s Church, 350 Fair St., Warwick. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Peter School, 120 Mayfair Rd., Warwick, RI 02888.
