Obituary

 93, of Johnston passed away Sunday March 12, 2023 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late David F. Hamlin. They were married for 62 years.

Born in Pawtucket she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Amanda (Dufrense) Crook. Elizabeth worked at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital as a LPN for many years, She graduated with an associate degree from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. She also worked as the Public Housing Liaison for former Mayor Buddy Cianci in his first administration.

She is survived by her two loving and devoted daughters Sandra A. Hamlin, Victoria M. Hamlin Rashid and her adopted daughter Michele Monti. She also was the devoted grandmother of David Hamlin, Shane Hamlin and his partner Danielle Morse and Frayja Hamlin. She was the loving great-grandmother Ava M. Hamlin, Neal D. Hamlin and Kylie Morse. She was the dear sister of the late Victoria Turner.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday March 20, 2023 at 10 am in St. Augustine’s Church Providence. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.

Visiting Hours are Sunday March 19, 2023 from 4 pm to 8 pm.
