Elizabeth 'Betty' Susan (Simmons) Bouchard-Kerr

72, of Cranston, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the HopeHealth Hospice Center in Providence.  She was the beloved wife of Paul A. Kerr for 24 years.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Eugene and Mary Rita (Dorocak) Simmons.

A lifelong resident of Cranston, she loved God, her husband, family, friends, nature, animals and all living things.  She was a graduate of Cranston East High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Providence College.  Before retiring in 2012, she worked for RBS Citizens Bank and Metropolitan Insurance.  She was also a branch manager for R.I. Hospital Trust.  She enjoyed her family, friends and going to Twin River Casino.  She was a loyal friend and companion.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her aunt, Joycelyn Simmons and cousins Kenneth and Valina Simmons. 

There will be a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 24 at Highland Memorial Park in Johnston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA and USO.
