Elvira (DeFusco) Caprio

101, of Providence, RI died Friday, January 20, 2023. She was the wife of the late Michael L. Caprio. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Carmine and Maria DeFusco. Elvira was the sister of the late Armand DeFusco.

Following graduation from Central High School, she was employed by the City of Providence as a cook in their school lunch program until retirement in 1982.

She is survived by two of her children, her son Joseph Caprio and his wife Patricia of Hamilton, NY, and her son Michael S. Caprio and his partner Kimberly Securo of Naples, FL. Her third child was the late Carol Caprio of Providence RI. She has one grandchild, Andrew Caprio and his wife Melody of Potomac Falls, VA. She has two great grandchildren Jack and Olivia of VA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 25th at 10:00 am in St. Ann's Church at 2 Russo Street, Providence. Interment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Smithfield Ave., Pawtucket. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
