Emilio M. Matos, Sr.

Emilio Matos, passed away at the age of 90 on Sunday September, 20, 2020 in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the beloved husband of Milagros Roman Matos and was married for 43 years.  He was born in Comerio, Puerto Rico and was the son of the late Evaristo and Tomasa (Matos)Matos. He served as a Housing Inspector for the city of Providence for many years until he retired in 1995.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children: Rosa Matos, Sonia Matos, Maria Taylor, Aida Gonzalez, Emilio Matos Jr, Cynthia Matos, Luis Matos, Eric Matos, and the late Evelyn Matos and step-children Carmen Rosario and Johnny Rosario. He is also survived by his siblings: Luis Matos, Hilda Matos, Ida Beltran, Juanita Matos, Anjelita Matos, and the late Maria and Filomena Matos. He was the cherished grandfather of 31, great grandfather of 47, and great great of 18.

His viewing hours will be held to the public this Friday from 6-9pm at the Nardolillo Funeral and Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, in Cranston. His funeral and burial will be private.
