Eugenia "Jean" (Valcarenghi) Buono

 86, of Narragansett, passed away peacefully at her home on April 29, 2021.  She was the wife of the late Frank Buono.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William and Gelsomina “Jessie” (Ravo) Valcarenghi.  
Mrs. Buono worked in jewelry manufacturing and was the former owner of AFL Creations.
Jean loved the beach and loved living in Narragansett.  She enjoyed glamping, bingo and collecting dolls.  She was an accomplished knitter and crocheter.  A communicant of St. Mary’s Star of The Sea Church, she enjoyed greeting fellow parishioners before mass. 
She leaves two children, Frank M. Buono and his wife Julia of Cranston and Linda J. Metroka of FL; her five siblings, Louis Valcarenghi of FL, Irene Williams of Cranston, Rosalie Dickens of Coventry, Rita Piccoli of FL and Richard Valcarenghi of Cranston; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late Arnold W. Buono; grandmother of the late Anna Buono; great-grandmother of Easton Morgan; and sister of the late William Valcarenghi and Salvatore Ravo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 10am in St. George Maronite Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
