Evelyn M. (Costa) Lupo

95, of Greenville, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Courtland Place, Greenville. Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late John D. Lupo, Sr. Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late John V. Costa, Sr., and the late Mary (Neri) Costa. She is survived by one sister and predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Evelyn is also survived by her loving children, Diane M. Lombardi and her husband Joseph of Exeter, Joanne Lombardi and her husband Steven of Greenville, Theresa Cerra and her husband Frank of Greenville and John D. Lupo, Jr. and his wife Joanne of Johnston. She was the cherished grandmother of Samuel Palumbo III, Marie Stearns, Jason Cerra, Michelle Hill and Selina Scarcella. She had seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She had a great presence in her grandchildren’s lives. Evelyn was a very talented seamstress, who also knitted and donated many of her crafts to Women’s & Infants Hospital and St. Rocco’s Church.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
