Gina (Blundo) Valente

GINA (BLUNDO) VALENTE, 69, of Cranston, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at HopeHealth Hospice in Providence surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife for 44 years of Richard D. Valente.  Born in Raviscanina, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Cesarina (Cazzani) Blundo and she moved to the US in 1971.

Gina worked in fashion retail for many years before retiring.  She loved the arts, history, reading and spending time outdoors on hot summer days.  But, most of all Gina loved spending time with her family.  The holidays were very special to her, and she always had a way of making them special for all those around her. 

Besides her husband Richard, she was the devoted mother of Nicole A. D’Amato and her husband Matthew of East Greenwich, Marie A. Holland and her husband Eric of Warwick and Elizabeth A. Valente and Richard D. Valente, Jr. both of Cranston, and cherished grandmother of Jacob, Ian, Gabriel, Zachary, Abigail and Samuel.

Her Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Friday, June 2nd at 10 a.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.  Inurnment will be private. VISITING HOURS are Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
