Hermine M. "Helen" (Serdjenian) Mahtesian

Our very precious mother Helen passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Aramast “Mahty” Mahtesian who preceded her in 1986.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Michael D. and Nevart (Dakesian) Serdjenian.

Helen loved to love people, she was such a special lady who brought joy everywhere she went. She always had a kind word to all she met and always brought a smile to their faces.

Over the years she had a lot of fun engaging in activities with friends. She loved to play tennis, enjoyed a good day on the golf course, was maybe a little competitive with her bridge games and of course above all loved every moment with her precious family.

Helen is survived by her two daughters and their husbands Diane Mouradjian and Father Kapriel Mouradjian, Susan and Paul Trombley; grandchildren, Mitchell and Arda Mouradjian, Joshua and Fiona Trombley, Elizabeth and Joseph Pisano, Jessica and Jordan Murphy, and Jordan Trombley; plus three great-grandchildren, Joseph, Miles and Isaac; and her loving boyfriend Joseph Ephramian, all of whom she loved and touched deeply. She was the sister of the late Richard “Dick” Serdjenian and Mihran “Mike” Serdjenian.

Her Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, January 15th at 10 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church. Burial at Swan Point Cemetery will be private.
