passed away suddenly on July 27, 2018 in Tampa, FL. Jason was born on December 5, 1971 in Providence, RI to Carol and Richard Williams. Jason was a Rigger for the United States Navy, who during his career served our nation by maintaining the nuclear fleet stationed in Kings Point Ga. He also had the privilege and honor being part of the restoration of the oldest actively commissioned warship in the world, The USS Constitution, based in his mother’s home town of Charlestown. MA. Jason was very proud of his family’s military history, especially his mother, Carol, and his part in serving the nation was a constant source of pride for him and his family.

Jason was a friend to all those in need. He always was first to help a family member, friend or stranger. He had a passion for cooking, often describing in great detail his creations. Following the lead of his father, Richard, he was passionate about the Martial Arts and competed and won full contact karate tournaments’ in his youth. Along with his family, Jason loved animals of all kinds.

Jason is survived by his mother Carol Williams-Furtado and her husband Joseph Furtado. His father Richard Williams and his wife Barbara Williams. Jason also is survived by three brothers, a sister, a son and a daughter. His brothers Richard Williams, John Furtado, Jacob Furtado, sister Traci Williams, son David Paul Deringer and daughter Bailey Williams.

Visiting hours to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Sunday, August 12th in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, RI from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a funeral service at 6:30 p.m.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jason’s name to National Alliance on Mental Illness.
