Joanne (Marano) Coletta

January 30, 1959 — May 17, 2020

Joanne (Marano) Coletta

61, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 17, 2020.  She was the beloved wife of Charlie Coletta for 37 wonderful and blessed years.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Gilda (Lancia) Marano.

Joanne was a loving and dedicated wife and mother, spending countless hours at ice rinks and ball fields, while still able to put a hot meal on the table. She worked for 27 years in the Cranston School Department as a Teacher’s Assistant, where her special presence was felt and enjoyed by so many colleagues and students. She was a faithful member of Trinity Assembly of God, where she grew her spirit-filled strength to combat cancer. She valiantly and courageously fought for five years, where she miraculously kept beating all odds with prayer and study of her Bible. Cherished by family and friends, she had a vibrant personality filling the room with joy through her laughter and endearing smile. She poured love, compassion, and kindness into the hearts of many. A social butterfly, she loved gathering with her large family and many friends. She enjoyed music and dancing with her husband, summer beach days, gardening, walking, reading, eating good food, and spending time with her family.

Besides her husband, Joanne was the loving mother of Michael Coletta of Cranston, Matthew Coletta and his wife Jaime of Warwick, and Nicole Coletta of North Providence; cherished grandmother of Lucia Coletta; dear sister of Cheryl Marano of Cranston.

Her funeral arrangements will be private due to current restrictions.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Her Funeral Service will be live-streamed on the Nardolillo Funeral Home Facebook page on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
