John Boezi, Jr.

68, of Cranston passed away on Saturday May 22, 2021.  Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Grossi) Boezi.  He was the dynamic husband of Elvira (DeSimone) Boezi for forty-four years.

John was a very proud graduate of Cranston High School East.  After graduation he began his career as a mason and he would go on to be the owner and contractor of Boezi Corporation for the next 50 years.

John loved fishing and golfing with friends.  He was an avid card player and lifelong Yankees fan.  He was a longtime member of the Saint Mary’s Feast Society and Valley Country Club.

In retirement, he enjoyed vacationing in Florida with his wife and faithful furry companion, Buddy.  He was known for bestowing nicknames on his friends, his larger than life personality and contagious smile.  He reveled in living each day to the fullest.

John was the devoted father of Kimberly (Boezi) Salimeno,and her husband Joseph of Cranston, and John Boezi III and his fiance Catherine Woodhurst of Atlanta, Georgia.  He was the beloved grandfather of Joseph Salimeno, Jr.  He is also survived by his loving sister Lorraine Fusco of Cranston.   He leaves behind his niece and many nephews, and several great nieces and nephew.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 26th at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday, May 25th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice.
