Joseph F. Lukowicz, Jr.

of Cranston, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021.  He was the beloved husband of AnnMarie (Ricci) Lukowicz.  He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Tworog) Lukowicz.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.  A graduate of LaSalle Academy and attended Providence College.  He owned and operated Dew Drop Inn for 10 years, thereafter, working for the State of Rhode Island as a 911 operator, for 20 years.

He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Lukowicz and brother-in-law Thomas Ricci and is survived by his sister Carolyn and her husband Leo William Harrington, sister-in-law Jeanne Lukowicz, sister-in-law Carolyn Piccione, and brother-in-law Robert Ricci.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joe was a sport’s enthusiast, enjoyed basketball, being part of the New England CYO Basketball champions of St. Mary’s parish in Coventry, Rhode Island.  He loved golf and was an assistant Golf Coach at Rhode Island Community College, and member of the West Warwick Country Club.  While not playing golf, his happiest moments were spent with his family and friends, especially his dear wife.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston.  Visiting hours and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
