Joseph M. Palombo

69, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Cedar Crest Nursing Home, Cranston. He was the beloved partner of the late Kenny St. Onge. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Walsh) Palombo. Joseph was the loving brother of Kathleen King of FL and Lisa Palombo Faust and her husband Christopher Faust of NJ.  He leaves many memories and much love among his sisters, three nephews, niece, grandniece, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Joe was a graduate of Veterans High School, Warwick Rhode Island, Bard College, Troy New York, and Columbia University, New York, New York. He was an author of gay fiction, gay activist, as well as a Broadway, opera, and drama enthusiast. He was active in the Dignity movement. In the 1970s, he taught High School English and lived in New York City. He will be remembered for his brilliant mind, writing and language skills, terrific sense of humor, creativity, satire, and his caring heart. Joe and his family greatly appreciate the Cedar Crest Nursing Center staff’s support in his last few years.
