Joseph (Joe) Dale Bacarti was born on September 21, 1931 to Tina and Joseph Bastardi in Providence, Rhode Island.  Joe was the second of four children.  After attending high school, Joe attended Bryant College in Rhode Island and then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served during peacetime.  Joe moved to San Diego, California in 1958 and began working for the Fuller Brush Company.  He then went to work for New York Life Insurance Company where he spent 52 years as a well-respected life insurance agent.  He stepped away from the business in 2018 at the age of 87.  In his spare time, Joe liked to travel.  His favorite place to visit was Italy which is where his family has an abundance of history.  Joe also loved to write, having written and published his one and only book “Tinera of Vieste”.   Joe loved to watch football.  Until recently, his favorite team was the San Diego Chargers.  In 2018, Joe and his wife Betsy, relocated to Cranston, Rhode Island where they planned to live out their remaining years.  Joe is survived by his wife of 31 years, Betsy, his two children, Kimberly Grace Bacarti and Barry Joseph Bacarti (Donna), his two Grandchildren, John Anthony Bacarti and Nina Genevieve Bacarti, a brother Matthew Bastardi (Ann), and sisters Nancy Kitchegan (Claude, deceased) and Grace Ruggieri (Bob) and many nieces and nephews.  A private funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 16th, at 10:00 a.m. and will be livestreamed via Nardolillo Funeral Home Facebook page: www.Facebook.com/nardolillofh.
