Josephine A. (Valente) Colafrancesco

95, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 2, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Colafrancesco, Sr.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Anna (Cardillo) Valente.

Josephine was the loving mother of Joseph P. Colafrancesco, Jr. and his wife Carol of Cranston, Jean M. Nunes and her husband John of Warwick, and the late Carol A. Tufts and her surviving husband Stephen Tufts of Cranston.  She also leaves her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was the sister of the late Nicholas DiRaimo, Angelo Valente, Anthony Valente, Rose Petrozzi, and Jennie Ciambrone.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston followed by burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston, RI 02919.
