Kenneth J. Horibin

71, of Johnston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at home. He was the beloved husband of thirty-five years to Donna L. (Scungio) Horibin. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late William P. and Beatrice E. (Beaubien) Horibin. Ken was an engineer for the Providence- Worcester Railroad for twenty years before retiring in 2000. He was a member of the United Trianmen Union. He was an antique truck and motorcycle enthusiast. Ken was a perfectionist when it came to his lawn.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his five loving children, Wendy Monaghan of North Kingstown, Paul “P.J.” Horibin and his wife Melissa of Coventry, Steven Horibin and his wife Sherry of West Warwick, Robert P. Connor and his wife Stephanie of Johnston, and William P. Connor and his wife Marnie of East Greenwich. Ken was the cherished grandfather of fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Patricia Howland and her husband Frank of Crystal River, FL and the late William P. Horibin and Mildred “Millie” Horibin Butler. Ken is also survived by two nephews Alfred and Shawn one niece Alyssa and was the uncle of the late Ronald Russell.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
