LCpl. Albert G. Lyon, Sr., USMC

72, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia B. (Trojano) Lyon. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edward Lee and Angelina (Palazzo) Lyon. 
 

Albert was a US Marine Corps Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. After his military service, he worked as a self-employed painter for most of his career. 

He is survived by his loving children, Thomas D. Lyon and his spouse Aurelle, George M. Williams and his spouse Denise, Keith M. Williams and his late spouse Melanie, Albert G. Lyon, Jr. and his spouse Tinna Le, Edward L. Lyon and his spouse Kayla Dodd, and John A. Lyon and his spouse Angela Scheivert; cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Tara, Lexis, Christopher, Victoria, Molida, Ali, Nicholas and Aria; great-grandson Brayden. He was the dear brother of Sharon Marie Burns, Joanna S. Power, John A. Lyon, Joyce M. Falandys, Julie A. Lyon Deoliveira and the late Edward Lee Lyon, Jr. and Angela Lyon.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday, June 25th at 8:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Ghost Church,427 Atwells Avenue, Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Friday, June 24thfrom 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
