Lillian "Ginger" (Flamion) Valente

98, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by love, on Friday, April 2, 2021. Born in Central Falls, RI, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Marieanne (Derois) Flamion. She loved to travel, and Hawaii was her favorite place. Her other favorite places were anywhere there were family and friends. Lillian also loved bowling, bingo, playing cards, and all types of celebrations. Known as Ginger to her many friends, she was a 20 year member of the Cranston Senior Companion Program.

Lillian is survived by her loving children, Richard Valente and his wife Gina of Cranston, Michael Valente of Brockton, MA, and her stepdaughter Jeannie Hao of Honolulu, HI. She was the cherished grandmother of six and great-grandmother of six. She is predeceased by her loving daughter Jo-anne Valente of Attleboro, MA. She is also predeceased by her sister Violet Moniz of Coral Gables, FL, and her brothers, Roger Flamion of Anaheim, CA, Roland Flamion of Pawtucket, RI, and Norman Flamion of Modesto, CA.

Her funeral services are respectfully private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
