82, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2021 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Ida (Caparco) De Biasio. Born in Teano, Italy he was the son of the late Terigi and Elisa (Picierno) De Biasio.
Lorenzo is survived by his loving children, Lorenzo De Biasio Jr. of Johnston, and Tina Deusch and her husband Fred of Sanford, Florida. He was the dear brother of Mario and Antonietta, as well as the late Donato, Vittorio, Gerardo, Alessandra, Giuseppe, Marta and Lazzarro. Although he visited whenever possible, he dearly missed his family members who reside in Italy.
An expert toolmaker by trade, Mr. De Biasio was well known in the industry and founded LBD Wire and Metal Products MFG in 1972, incorporating in 1983. He remained extremely active in daily operations until his brief recent illness. In his spare time he enjoyed operating various types of equipment such as backhoes and other landscaping tools. He had a natural ability for DIY projects and horticulture, cultivating flowers, shrubs, and vegetable gardens. In his younger years he enjoyed many rounds of golf and ballroom dancing with his lovely wife Ida, and occasionally took her on motorcycle rides just as they had done in Italy during their youth. During Ida’s illness he learned how to cook her delicious recipes so that she could continue to enjoy her favorite Italian specialties. Always a calm spoken gentleman, he was known as a fatherly figure who generously shared his time as well as his personal and professional experience with family, close friends and employees whether in time of need or to advance their knowledge, confidence and abilities.
He will be missed by his loving family and his friends.
VISITING HOURS will be Wednesday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Entombment will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
