Lorna E. Zoglio

77, of Johnston, formerly of Western Cranston, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at RI Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Zoglio. Born in Providence, RI on May 19, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Romano) DiLeonardo. Lorna worked at “The Silver Lake Annex Center as secretary then vice president” in the 1980’s. She also worked for the City of Providence under Buddy Cianci for two terms. She was involved in many political campaigns including Providence’s Mayor, Buddy Cianci & Johnston’s Mayor Joseph Polisena. Lorna was very active in the Johnston Senior Center. She enjoyed singing, playing cards, visiting our local casinos and was an animal lover.

Lorna was the loving mother of Cynthia Capezza DiVincenzo of Cranston, Edward J. Capezza, Jr., and his wife Lori-Ann of South Kingstown and the late Alessio and John Capezza. She was also the mother in-law of Paula Capezza.  Lorna was the sister of Robert DiLeonardo and the late Richard DiLeonardo. She was the cherished grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of one.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Visiting hours and burial are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd, Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
