Louis A. Montecalvo

92, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022. He was the son of the late Carmella (Bianco) and Luigi Montecalvo. He was the last of his six siblings to pass. Louis is survived by his wife Gloria (Cordeau) Montecalvo, his son Louie and daughters Linda, Lisa, and the late Barbara. He also had five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Louis (“Louie”) worked hard for his family. He married young and took a job in a steel mill where he came home covered in black soot and grease for 30 years which ultimately led to his lung disease pulmonary fibrosis from which he passed. His only goal in his life was to take care of his family. He was humble, soft spoken and always well mannered. His favorite phrase to us was “wisdom”. His sense of humor was quick witted. A big-hearted one-of-a-kind man. He will be sadly missed forever.

At the family’s request, visiting hours will be omitted and burial will be private.
