Obituary

MARGARET J.  (CLAFFEY) DAILEY “PEGGY”, 97, of Cranston, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen E. Dailey.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Margaret J. (McLaughlin) Claffey.

Peggy was a group secretary for the Internal Revenue Service for many years before retiring.

She was the devoted mother of Stephen E. Dailey, Jr. and his wife Deborah of North Attleboro, MA and Michael J. Dailey (CPD-Ret.) of Coventry; cherished grandmother of Sean, Kevin, Daniel, Michael, Matthew and Maranda; loving great-grandmother of Alexa, Mackenzie, Madison, Cullen, Teagan, Braxton, Levi and Elaina; and dear sister of Patricia Kiley of Marshfield, MA, Frances Connolly of Laconia, NH, Joan Hopkins of Windsor Locks, CT and the late Eleanor Regan.

VISITING HOURS to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Sunday, September 17th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Shriners of RI Trust, 1 Rhodes Place, Cranston, RI 02905. Kindly write Peggy Dailey on the memo line.
