Marian (Peloso) Van Eyk R.N.
Marian Van Eyk R.N. Obituary
passed away January 23, 2023. She was the wife of the late Howard R. Van Eyk. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Anna (Petrucci) Peloso and the sister of the late George Peloso.
She leaves a son, Steven Van Eyk and his wife Margie of South Carolina, a daughter Susan Reis and her husband Thomas of Cranston. She was the mother of the late Cheryl Ann Van Eyk.
She was the loving grandmother of three, Jason Luciano, Kristen Scott, her husband Brad and Matthew Luciano. She was also the great-grandmother of Lucas and Miles Scott.
A graduate of Cranston East High School and RI Hospital of Nursing, class of 1952. She worked in nursing for 40 years beginning in the GYN unit at RI Hospital. She worked at area hospitals including the former Lying in Hospital. She finished her career as the Occupational Health Nurse for the Operation Center of the former Fleet Financial Group (now BOA). She was an Officer of the Bank. She enjoyed her years at Fleet helping employees not only with medical problems but being a confidant with work and family problems.
She was a member of RI and New England Occupational Nurse Association and RI Nurses Alumni Association.
Her funeral services are private.
