Marie DiBona

Marie DiBona, 88, passed away on Wednesday March 22, 2023, at Riverview Nursing Center, in Coventry. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Antonio DiBona and the late Michelina Mezzatesta DiBona. 

She loved to sing, dance and a talented artist. Her paintings could be found hanging her home, along with the homes of her friends and relatives. In her free time enjoyed bingo, slot machines at the casino, and playing the lottery. She was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan, New England Patriots, and watching golf on TV. She was fondly loved by her extended family, and the children loved to be by her side. 

She is survived by her two brothers Salvatore R. DiBona (Thelma) of Fort Myers, FL, and Vincent (Erica) of Los Angeles, CA. Her nephews Anthony DiBona, Russell DiBona, and Steven DiBona, his nieces Denise DiBona Dellavolpe, and Charlene, Cara DiBona Swartz. Her beloved goddaughter Cynthia Cavanaugh. Her great nephews Steven Sean DiBona, Jesse DiBona, Russell Noah DiBona, Nicholas DiBona, and Sammy Swartz. Her great nieces Caitlin DinBona Bessette, Ashley Dellavolpe, Pheobe Startz, and Kate Swartz. Her great great nephews Sean, Russell, Noah II, and new baby in May. Great great nieces Taylor, Gabriella, and Ella. She was predeceased by a brother Anthony DiBona.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday March 28, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held from 9:30- 10:30 am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. For online expressions of sympathy please visit NARDOLILLOFH.com
