Marie Geraghty Obituary

MARIE (UCIFERRO) GERAGHTY, 93, formerly of Johnston, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late John P. Geraghty. Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Filomena (Tartaglia) Uciferro.

Marie worked for the State of Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management for over 20 years before retiring.

Marie’s hobbies included reading, cooking, crafts, and watching the Yankees.

She was a communicant of St. Rocco Church in Johnston.

Nothing was more important than her dedication to her family.

She was the devoted and loving mother of Jacqueline Benbenek and her husband Jeffrey of Lincoln; cherished grandmother of Kyle and Connor Benbenek; and dear sister of the late Thomas Uciferro and Ann Parrillo.

Her funeral service will be private.
