Mary (Dubis) Scorpio

104, of Cranston, passed into eternal life suddenly on Monday, March 5, 2018, at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Coventry, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Wilhelmina (Hanica) Dubis. Mary worked as an assembler at the GE Monowatt Plant in Providence for twenty-six years before her retirement. She led a remarkable life volunteering and serving for over forty years at the Cranston Senior Center. She was a member of the Saint Mary's Feast Society Auxiliary and a volunteer at the Knightsville Library Association.

She was the loving mother of, Anthony Scorpio of North Andover, MA, Ronald Scorpio of Detroit, MI, Paul B. Scorpio of North Kingstown, and Richard Scorpio of Holyoke, MA. and  the late Paul G. Scorpio and Carmela "Connie" D'Ercole. Cherished grandmother of sixteen, the great-grandmother of twenty-four and the great-great-grandmother of twenty-three. Mary was the sister of Stella “Steffie” Allen of Libertyville, IL and the late Adeline Lavoie, Anna McGlynn, Linda Saccoccio, Frances Baines, Joseph, Frank, Oliver, John and Walter Dubis. Mary was the companion of the late Norm Danis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on THURSDAY, MARCH 15TH at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS TODAY Monday 4-8 p.m . in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Feast Society, 15 Phenix Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920.
