Mericelda Carrasco Obituary

Carrasco, Mericelda, 74, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Rafael A. Carrasco for fifty-five years.

Born in the Dominican Republic, a daughter of the late Felix Henderson and Maria Mercedes Peralta, she moved to Rhode Island in 1970.

She was very generous, always helping others. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Besides her husband she leaves four daughters, Lucila Carrasco of Providence, Evelyn Rosa and her husband Jose of FL, Elizabeth Carrasco of CT and Giselle Gallo and her husband John of Warwick; a sister, Lidia Oster of Lincoln; three brothers, Felix Martin Henderson of Cranston, Antonio Henderson of Cranston and Jose Genao of North Providence; and three grandchildren, Alex Hernandez, Amanda Rosa-Giova and Jeffrey Rosa. She was the sister of the late Luis Sime Peralta and Felix Daniel Henderson.

Her funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
