Michael S. DeLuca

57, died peacefully with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer, never complaining about his illness and always kept his sense of humor.

Michael worked for the City of Providence in the Department of Public Works for many years.

He was the beloved son of Rose A. DeLuca and the late Vito T. DeLuca.  He leaves behind a sister Janice M. Caparco and her husband Aldo, who he loved dearly.  He had a special bond with his nieces and nephew, Nicole Bradford and her husband Raymond, Jenna Ray and her husband Nicholas and Aldo M. Caparco and his girlfriend Brittany Langlois.  The loves of his life was spending time with great nieces and nephews Noah, Liliana, Luca, Nico and Noah.  Since birth Michael was a die-hard Yankee fan and loved playing pool with his friends and family.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Brigid’s Church, Johnston.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
