Obituary

87, of Delray Beach, Florida, was called to her lord on Monday, September 11, 2023.

Born in Providence, R.I. on April 9, 1936.  She was the oldest of 7 children born to Joseph and Adelaide Schart.  She was a high school math teacher in the Warwick School Department for 20 years.  She retired and moved to Delray Beach, FL.

She was an active member in her church ladies guild at Emmanuel Catholic Church in Delray Beach. One of her favorite things to do was take her grandchildren to Walt Disney World.  It truly was the happiest place on earth for her.  She also loved to travel and never missed an opportunity to go with the girls to Mexico or on a cruise.

She was so happy to finally meet her great grandsons Ollie and Eddie (who live in Australia) this past Christmas.

Miriam was predeceased by her husband Bob, son Michael, parents Joseph and Adelaide and sisters, June, Diana, Denise and LeeAnn. Miriam is survived by her son Robert (Deborah) and daughter Cheryl (Robert), brothers, Bill (Jeanette), Ron (Jane).  Her six grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole, Meghan, Bobby, Shelby and Avery will always remember a grandma that showed up for all their events, lots of laughter, her generosity and all the wonderful trips she took them on.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Mary Church, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday morning from 9-10 am. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675, would be appreciated.
