Phillip O. Ostanock, 67 of Warwick passed away unexpectedly, in Youngstown, Ohio on Sunday May 14, 2023, with his family by his side. Born in Youngstown, Ohio he was the son of the late Stephan and Frances (Anderson) Ostanock. He was the beloved husband for 30 years to Elayne (Terranova) Ostanock.

Phil was a 1974 graduate of Chaney High School; he then went on the spend some time in the Army Reserves. Growing up in Youngstown, he later moved to California where he met his wife Elayne, they married in 1992, moving to Delaware and then finally settling in Rhode Island in 1998.  He worked in the shipping and receiving department in Raychem, in Northern California for many years, he also sold intellectual properties for Minesoft until his retirement. Through his entire careers he was also a tax preparer. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, music, cooking, bike riding, camping and all outdoor activities. He will always be remembered as a kind, considerate and compassionate man. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Besides his wife he is survived by his siblings Stephan Ostanock and his wife Shirley, Michael Ostanock, and Mary Frances Baun and her son Justin. He was the brother-in-law of Doug Terranova and his wife Elizabeth, and Linda Pfothenhauer and her husband Allen, and their daughter Jessica Bazille and her husband Arnaud.  He leaves his nieces and nephew Nicole, Simon, and Gabrielle. He was predeceased by a brother Joseph Ostanock, a brother-in-law Jerry Terranova, and his in-laws Roland and Jean Terranova. He also leaves his and Elayne’s dearly loved and spoiled cat Callie.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Sunday May 21, 2023, at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, from 2:00 – 5:00pm, a service will be held at 3:15 pm. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, everyone is asked to arrive between 10:00 -11:00, burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. On Monday from 4:00- 7:00 pm the family hopes that you join them for food and drink at Elayne and Phil’s house, 122 Staples Ave., Warwick.
