Raymond R. Harvey

68, of West Warwick, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Tufts Medical Center, Boston. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Propatier) Harvey for 48 years. Born in Southbridge, MA, he was a son of the late Armand and Shirley (Anderson) Harvey. Mr. Harvey was an Automotive and collision teacher for East Providence Career and Technical Center for over 30 years.

Ray loved his home where he and his wife spent many a happy hour together working on making it their own. From doing home improvement projects together to landscaping and gardening, then spending time on their porch enjoying the labor of their work, they were inseparable. From an early age Ray showed an incredible aptitude for working with his hands and loved restoring old vehicles. He and Donna spent many happy days antiquing, where Ray further indulged his love of tinkering with his passion for old clocks.

The two traveled whenever time allowed and deeply enjoyed trips to Aruba as well as many other destinations. While at home, Ray's favorite place was in his kitchen where he excelled as a cook, creating wonderful meals with great pleasure. Ray enjoyed helping others and was always available to lend a hand when needed.

Besides his wife Donna, he is survived by his loving daughter, Lisa Luke and her husband Richard II of Westbury, NY. He was the cherished grandfather of Richard Luke III. Raymond was the brother of Bernadette Welch and her husband Greg of North Branford, CT, Anne Doyon of Island Pond, VT, James Harvey and his wife Lisa of Attleboro, MA, and the late Paul Harvey,

His informal outdoor service will be held on Saturday, June 12th, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Ann Cemetery. A procession will be organized at 10:15 a.m. in the parking lot in front of the main entrance of St. Ann Cemetery, 73 Church St., Cranston, RI 02920.
