Richard G. Brown Sr.

of Burnt Hill Rd., Hope, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was happily married for 56 years to his beloved wife the late Phyllis M. (Iannelli) Brown. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Raymond and Theresa (Iannucci) Brown.

Richard was the owner of Richard G. Brown Inc., the family’s excavating business for 40 years. He was his happiest cultivating and harvesting his garden, making home-made wine and feeding his family, friends, and dog Josie with his delicious meals.

Richard was the devoted father to four children; Richard Brown Jr. husband of Sandra Brown, Robyn Agrela wife of Frank Agrela, Brian Brown husband of Lori Brown, and Kristen Verducci wife of Henry Verducci, all residents of Hope. He adored spending time and making memories with his ten grandchildren Richard, Ashlin, Nicholas, Alexis, Luciano, Brian, Talia, Alysha, Alyssa and Giovanni. 

He was the dear brother of Gladys Dimeglio of North Providence, Georgia Cotoia of Cranston, Patricia Feole of Foster, Harold Brown of Johnston, and the late Mildred Waddington, Raymond Brown, Adelaide Marrietti, Helen Young, Joyce Nardone, Lois Gibree, and George Brown.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday 2/24 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4:00–8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association Founders Affiliate, P.O.
