Rita O. (Iannuccillo) McNeill

96, of Narragansett formerly of Providence passed away peacefully on Saturday July 30, 2022.  She was the wife of the late John “Jack” McNeill.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Tommaso and Vincenza (Sciaretta) Iannuccillo.

Mrs. McNeill worked as a buyer for the Boston Store and retired from Narragansett Electric to raise her family.

Rita loved being a stay-at-home Mom and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and playing bingo. She volunteered at St. Pius School and for RI Special Olympics.  A devout Catholic, she was a communicant of St. Veronica Chapel.

She leaves her three children, Michael J. McNeill and his wife Darlene of Cumberland, Jennifer L. Stearns and her husband Joseph of Narragansett and John D. McNeill, II; and three grandchildren, Tyler McNeill, Ryan McNeill and Madison Stearns. She was the sister of the late Rose Cesaro, Viola, Isabella, Elvira, Iolanda and Mafalda Iannuccillo.

Rita’s family would like to express our gratitude to the entire staff at Brightview Commons for all of the care and love they gave our Mom over the years.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday,  August 3, 2022 at 9:30am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett.  Burial will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hope Health Hospice of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 or St. Thomas More Church.
