Robert S. "Bob" Petrarca

74, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2018 after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of fifty-one years to Joyce S. (Larocque) Petrarca. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Domenico and Antoinetta (Antonaccio) Petrarca. Bob was a career employee at the former ALMACS Supermarkets and a life-long professional musician. Bob’s love of life and music filled all around him with happiness and he will fondly be remembered for his kind heart, humor and devotion to his family. He served in the US Army Reserve.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his two devoted sons, Robert S. Petrarca, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Coventry and David M. Petrarca and his wife Celeste Wilson of Waltham, MA. Bob was the cherished grandfather of Robert III, Matthew, and Grace Petrarca all of Coventry. He was the brother of Tecola Ranucci of Georgia, Millie Tella of Florida, Julia Pelosi of Cranston and the late Domenic Petrarca and Mary Trombetti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dialysis Patients Association of Warwick, (DPAW), 23 Larkspur Road, Warwick, RI 02886.
