Ronald "Ron" Rodrigues

76, of Charlestown, RI passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2024.  He was the loving husband of Deborah A. (Fiorio) Rodrigues.

Born in Fall River, MA he was the son of the late Domingos Rodrigues and Mary (Rego) Nicolau.

Mr. Rodrigues was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

He received a bachelor’s degree from UMass Dartmouth in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Roger Williams University. 

Ron was a professor at Bristol Community College and was a practicing tax consultant before retiring.

He was a talented musician and was a devout New England Patriots fan and former season ticket holder.  He played tennis and won many tournaments.  Ron loved to ski and was a former member of the Worcester Ski Club.

Besides his wife, he leaves two children, Rhonda Rodrigues of West Warwick and Ryan Rodrigues of Worcester, MA; seven grandchildren, Justin Hudson, Ryan Rodrigues, Zachary Hudson, Noemia Dinis, Joshua Trahan, Jacob Rodrigues and Christian Rodrigues; and four great-grandchildren, Kiera, Avery, Bryce and Julian.  He was the father of the late Ronald Rodrigues and Richard Rodrigues; and grandfather of the late Bria Rodrigues.

VISITING HOURS will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 4-7pm followed by a funeral service at 7pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his burial with Military Honors on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 11:00am in MA National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne.
