Saene Soukthavone

89, of Providence, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ban Hom, Laos, she was the beloved wife of Souang Soukthavone and mother of Souriyou, Sengkeo, Souriya, Sengchanh, Khamphanh, Bouavanh, Bouakhanh, Bouachanh, Bouaguen, Bouakham, Bounsou, Bouathong, Saenemany, Manyvanh, and Bounkham. She also leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She immigrated to the US in the hopes of providing her children with better opportunities than she did growing up. She took immense pride and joy in knowing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren have all done well in their lives. She enjoyed knitting and was known for her trademark sweater and beanie. She also enjoyed cooking meals for her large family. As the matriarch of the family, she was the beloved core of any family gathering. Her energy and zeal on the dance floor left many in awe and admiration. She was never afraid to speak her mind or mince her words. She leaves behind the memory of her generous love, fierce strength and will power, and many treasured memories.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her VISITING HOURS Friday, July 10, 2020 from 9-11am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Social distancing and facial coverings are required.

Her funeral service will be strictly private for immediate family only.
