Salvatore "Sal" J. Puleo, III

58, of North Providence passed away, peacefully, on Friday March 29, 2024, after a long, brave battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Salvatore J. Puleo, Jr. and Susan (Bamford) Puleo, and beloved brother of Christine L’Heureux and the late Sandra Forgue.    He leaves behind his loving wife, Holly (Patnaude) Puleo, and two of his greatest achievements, his pride and joy, his daughter, Brielle Puleo, and son, Salvatore J. Puleo, IV.

Sal always had a love of motorcycles and fast cars.  In his younger years, he could be found “cruising” Mineral Spring Ave, hanging in McManus parking lot or wreaking  havoc with his friends. Some of his best stories and memories were of his time spent working/hanging with his father and uncles in “Uncle Joey’s garage”.

As years passed, Sal stepped in as co-owner of Manville Motor Sales, alongside his best friend, mentor & father, “Jr”. Sal had an incredible bond with his father. The two could be found rebuilding antique cars, customizing Harley Davidson’s and enjoying long motorcycle rides. All of these passions, along with his amazing work ethic, he has instilled in his son. In his recent years, the two opened their own small engine repair & bike shop.

Sal’s greatest enjoyment was spending hours in his garage with his children. He was thrilled that they both love “hot rods” and attending car shows.  The absolute joy on his face watching his daughter do “burn outs” in his rebuilt camaro will never be forgotten, or the many hours spent replacing his son’s tires after doing  “donuts”.  This was Sal’s joy.

Sal had a strong personality.   If he loved you, he did so deeply & genuinely.  He especially  treasured his small, close group of friends, which he called his “brothers”.  He cherished these friendships. “Love you Brother.”

Cancer is a thief. Sal fought this battle with such bravery & determination, and never quit.

“It is what it is.” -Sal Puleo
