Stanley Hopper Obituary

66, of East Greenwich, passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, January 10, 2022, at RI Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Gail (Nowicki) Hopper for 38 years. Born in Stanley, NC, he was the son of the late Matthew and Alberta (Hill) Hopper. Stanley was a barber for many years and a truck driver for Bridge Transportation in Dracut, MA, retiring in 2010 because of illness. He enjoyed watching sports and loved spending time with his friends and family. Stanley volunteered at the Providence VA Hospital where he helped many people. He was a US Army veteran severed during the Vietnam War.

Besides his wife Gail, he is survived by his stepdaughter Kerra Lynn McNally of West Warwick, his godchild Tydrell D’Eandre Spears of Providence. He was the brother of Melvin Hopper and his wife Christine, John Hopper and his wife Valerie and Dennis Hopper all of Providence. He was predeceased by his four brothers, Joe, Howard, James, and Roger Hopper, his one sister Jeannette Olgesby. Stanley was also the brother in law of Annie Ruth, Mary Helen, and Lois Hopper.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Jan 21st, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston. His Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, Jan 22nd, at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
