Thelma A. (Marrese) Ricci

Thelma A. (Marrese) Ricci, 89 of Cranston, passed away on June 16, 2022 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence.  Born in Providence, and a lifelong resident of Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (DeGregorio) Marrese.  Thelma was employed at the Cranston YMCA for 14 years before working at the Cranston AAA as an insurance secretary until her retirement.  She enjoyed shopping and took pride in her Sunday feast of lasagna, meatballs, pizza and eggplant for her family and friends. She spent many hours attending her grandchildren’s softball and baseball games, never missing one.   She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and watching game shows.

She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Ricci for 54 years, until his death.  She is survived by her children Paula A. Ricci of Guilford, CT, and her fiance Edward W. Perkins, Jr., Karen M. Lynch, of Cranston and her husband Terrence, and David E. Ricci, of North Kingstown.  She was the grandmother of Ryan E. Ricci, Camryn M. Ricci and Brandon J. Lynch, whom she adored.  She was predeceased by her brother, Pasquale J. Marrese. Mrs. Ricci is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday, June 22nd at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
