Thomas J. "TJ" May, Jr.

45, of Johnston, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Daina M. (Santurri) May and the beloved father of Olivia and Evan May. Born in Providence, he was the treasured son and grandson of the late Ann Mattson and Anna Mattson (Delmastro).

Besides his wife and children, he leaves behind his dear siblings, Christine Link (Jason), Michelle Ziobrowski (Robert) and Melissa Allen and his father, Thomas May Sr. TJ was the adored son- in- law of Anthony & Debra (Cornell) Santurri, brother-in-law of Laina (Santurri) Borowski (Jeff), and “brother” of Richard Conti (Joyce).  TJ was the proud uncle of eight nieces and nephews; Nicole, Jason, Justin, Destiney, Hailey, Tom Tom, Lucas, and Amya.

TJ was compassionate, kind, loving, thoughtful, and generous.  TJ was a devoted family man; always putting his family first.  He was a loyal friend, an admired coach, an exceptional mentor, and a jack of all trades.  TJ was always a proactive thinker, who possessed so much knowledge and wisdom, and was the family’s problem solver.  TJ proudly served his family, his friends, and his community and was always there to help anyone in any way he could.  The positive impact TJ had on the lives of so many and the legacy he leaves behind will never be forgotten.   

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 1st at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
